Gen. Mohammed Naguib, head of the Egyptian Government, told a delegation of three members of the British Parliament visiting Cairo that any arms supplied by Britain to Israel would not be used to attack Israel, the Manchester Guardian reported from Cairo. “We shall not fight anyone who does not first attack us,” Gen. Naguib was quoted as declaring. “On the other hand, we shall never make peace with Israel until the Palestine Arab refugees are repatriated and compensated.”
