United Nations Truce Chief Gen. William E. Riley sill leave Israel for the United States tomorrow for treatment of severe burns on his feet sustained during a stay at the Hadassah Hospital here, a U.N. official announced today.
Hadassah Hospital personnel, who stressed that Gen. Riley is recuperating from a successful kidney operation, said that the U.N. head had suffered second degree burns when an overheated hot water bottle was placed at his feet immediately after anesthesia was applied. An investigation was pressed, but the negligent nurse responsible for the accident was never discovered.
