GEN, SWING NAMED NEW COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION

Attorney General Herbert Brownell, Jr., announced that the nomination of Gen. Joseph M. Swing as Commissioner of Immigration and Naturalization has been sent to the Senate by the President and that present Commissioner Argyle R. Mackey has consented to remain as Deputy Commissioner. Mr. Mackey is a career employee of the Immigration Service.
