General Jewish Body in Mexico Reorganized; Unity Restored Following Six-month Crisis

Following an internal crisis which lasted for about six months, the Central Jewish Committee of Mexico was reorganized here today to include representatives of all Sephardic and Ashkenazic groups. Fabian Sviadosch was elected president.

Dr. Adolfo Fastlicht, prominent Zionist leader and representatives of the Jewish Agency here, was appointed by the Israel Government as honorary consul of the Jewish state in Mexico. The appointment in the near future of a Mexican consul to Tel Aviv is expected here.
