A preliminary leadership conference of the World Confederation of General Zionists will take place in Paris on February 9-10, it was announced today by Mrs. Rose L. Halprin, member of the Jewish Agency and co-chairman, together with Dr, Israel Goldstein, of the World Confederation of General Zionnists, on the eve of her departure for Israel to attend sessions of the Jewish Agency and the celebration of Hadassah’s Golden Jubilee.
The purpose of the preliminary leadership conference, Mrs, Halprin stated, is to exchange views on problems facing the Confederation. Similar talks are now taking place among the Confederations affiliates and constituent organizations in all parts of the world and will be finalized at a World Conference to be convoked in May of this year, at which time the question of unification will be presented and authoritative decision taken.
