The official stand of the World Confederation of General Zionist on various basic Zionist problems which will be discussed at the forthcoming world Zionist Congress–which is to open in Jerusalem on April 24–is outlined in a 13-page statement issued here today by Dr. Israel Goldstein, president, on behalf of the Confederation.
The statement deals with the new relationship between the State of Israel and the Zionist movement, the future basis for a maximum of collaboration between Zionists and non-Zionists on behalf of Israel; a more democratic basis of membership registration and voting rights in the World Zionist Organization, the establishment of a Joint Land Authority and the ultimate establishment of other common departments in which the State of Israel and the Zionist movement participate jointly.
The Confederation, representing the General Zionist sector in the world Zionist movement includes. The Zionist Organization of America, the Hadassah Organization of America, the General Zionist Party and the Progressive Party in Israel, and General Zionist organizations in 50 countries throughout the world.
