The General Zionist Council today hailed the attempts of Dr. Nahum Goldmann to bring about closer cooperation between the General Zionists and the Progressive Party, aimed at the ultimate merger of the two parties. The Council expressed regret over the fact that the Progressive Party has taken a negative stand on Dr. Goldmann’s proposals.
