A cablegram in behalf of the Pro-Palestine Federation of America, signed by Charles Edward Russell, Wendell P. Stafford, John Haynes Holmes, Frederick B. Robinson, William Cocke and Harry Allen Overstreet, was sent to the Eighteenth World Zionist Congress at Prague yesterday greeting the delegates “in name Gentile Americans believing noble historical mission Jewish people fighting for progress and humanity.”
The cablegram expressed the hope that the civilized nations of the world will aid in the rescue of victims of persecution in Germany by assisting their settlement in Palestine.
