President Zalman Shazar today received the well-known West German author, Gunther Grass who is currently visiting Israel. During the hour-long discussion, ideas were exchanged on German culture and on the danger of Nazi recrudescence in Germany.
Later in the day, Mr. Grass met with Prime Minister Levi Eshkol and also visited the Israel Museum. Mr. Grass, a known anti-Nazi during the Second World War, was invited to visit Israel by the Foreign Ministry.
