The American Military Government in Germany will order the German authorities to pay lifetime ponsions to Jews and then Nazi victims disabled by sufferings in Germany, or in German concentration camps, of in ferced labor units sent by Germany to any part of occupied territory, it was announced here today.
Falling into the category of those entitled to the pension are persecuted persons who suffered disabilities as a result of treatment accorded them because of race, religion, creed, color or political opinion. The pensions will be paid from direct (##)ation of the German population and will in no case be smaller than the highest disability compensation paid to persons insured under the existing German accident and war insurance scheme for military disabilities.
