Chancellor Bruening today for the first time received a National Socialist leader when he conferred with M. Goereing, vice-president of the National Socialist fraction in the Reichstag. The purpose of the interview was to analyze the parliamentary situation. It was reported that the conference proved to be futile because the National Socialist spokesman could not assure the government of his fraction’s support.
