In consideration of his service at the front, the Hanau Administrative Court has ordered the withdrawal of the dismissal notice given a non-“Aryan” employe of a department store.
The complainant, who is in charge of the carpets and curtains department of the firm, is married to an “Aryan” woman. During the World War he was taken prisoner by the Allies.
The court found that there had been no complaint lodged against the employe on the grounds he is a non-“Aryan” and that receipts in his department had increased in the last few months.
The dismissal constituted a hardship on a front-fighter which could not be countenanced, the court ruled, and furthermore, that he is of an age at which it would be difficult to find another position in which he could earn as much as in his present job.
The establishment had previously been owned by a non-“Aryan” and recently was taken over by the present “Aryan” owner.
