At the behest of a West German court, the Tel Aviv district court today took testimony from several Jewish women now living in Israel who were sterilized in Nazi concentration camps. The testimony will be used in the trial of Karl Clauberg, Nazi physician, who experimented on Jewish camp inmates on methods of inducing sterility.
The women, and a Jewish physician who had once been employed as a prisoner doctor in the Auschwitz concentration camp, described the injection treatment which sterilized the women and left them in continuous pain. The court today appealed to more former inmates of notorious block ten, where sterilization “guinea pigs” were kept, to come forward and testify. The witnesses today were shipped to the death camp from Greece and Belgium.
