The World Jewish Congress in New York today received a request from a West German court to help find witnesses in connection with the prosecution of a war-time Nazi security chief in Kiev.
The district attorney of the Karlsruhe district court is conducting an investigation into the case of former SS Commander Erich Ehrlinger, who was commander of the Security Police in Kiev. Ehrlinger is said to be responsible for numerous arrests and mass-executions of Jews carried out in Kiev during the years 1942-1943.
