A German Criminal Court has acquitted Nazi Germany’s leading film producer, Veit Harlan, of a charge of committing a crime against humanity in making the film “Jew Suess,” to support the Nazi anti-Jewish campaign. The prosecutor, who had asked for a two-year jail sentence for the film producer, said he would consider an appeal.
