Three members of the West German Parliament who are visiting Israel promised a delegation of Jews formerly resident in Rumania that they would call the attention of the West German authorities to the compensation claims of some 50,000 former Rumanian residents here for losses and injuries suffered under the Nazi regime.
The German deputies received a deputation representing these people here today and heard its appeal for speedy action by the West German authorities on claims estimated to total $50, 000, 000. The deputation pointed out that the claimants were mainly aged and infirm persons whose holdings, valuables and cash had been seized from them during the Nazi occupation.
