German-language films rank second in number of all imported films in Israel, although no films produced entirely in Germany are permitted to be shown here, it was officially disclosed today. American firms are still in first place.
Total German-language films, some of which were made in Austria and other European countries, imported during the past year was 71, compared to 170 American-made films. Other films were imported from France, England, India, Italy and Egypt. Films also were imported from 12 other countries.
