H.A, Goodman, chairman of the European executive of the World Agudas Israel, today said the Agudah will ask the West German Government to help return to the Jewish community Jewish children who were left in non-Jewish homes during the Nazi regime. The payment of reparations and restitution is “not enough,” Mr. Goodman stated. “We expect Bonn to cooperate fully in the restoration of Jewish children to Jewish homes.”
He also reported on an approach made to the Soviet Embassy in London in behalf of Mordecai Dubin, former president of the Agudah in Latvia and one-time head of the Riga Jewish community, who was last heard of in Moscow several years ago. Mr. Goodman expressed the hope that the Soviets would permit Mr. Dubin to rejoin his friends abroad.
