German Governor Publishes Data on Liquidated Jewish Enterprises in Poland

A total of 112,000 retail enterprises owned by Jews have been liquidated by the German authorities in occupied Poland, in addition to many thousands of wholesale firms, the Nazi Governor of Warsaw, Ludwig Fischer, told representatives of German newspapers this week. He emphasized that not a single Jewish-owned enterprise exists today in any part of Poland.

The Feichsamreiger, Germany’s official gazette, announces the confiscation of the entire movable and immovable property of eight Jews of the city of Barmstadt whose families have resided there since 1809.

A number of Norwegian Jews who were among those deported to the fortress city of There siemstadt have died there of starvation, it is reported today in the Swedish newspaper Tidmingen.
