The ratification of the German-Israel reparations pact by the Lower House of the West German Parliament is expected within ten days, following its approval this week-end by the Bundesrat, the Upper House.
The Bundesrat voted approval of the pact, under which Israel will get $715,000,000 in reparations for claims against Germany, after Foreign Minister Walter Holstein assured Parliament that the West German Government will seek to change the section of the agreement which provides that German commodities sent as reparations should not be transported in German ships.
