The central Jewish body, known as the Central Committee of German Jews for Relief and Reconstruction, today announced formation of a secretariat authorized to plan the work and carry out the decisions of the central body. The secretariat is composed of Werner Senator, Ludwig Tietz and Walter Alexander, all of whom have been prominent in German-Jewish life.
It is learned that this body amalgamates various Jewish organizations within Germany and will coordinate local relief efforts. It will also work with other relief agencies from outside Germany, such as the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, which are making funds available in Germany for relief purposes.
