A fund totaling $1,226,346 has been raised to date for the relief of German Jewish refugees under the auspices of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, according to announcement made yesterday by Rabbi Jonah B. Wise, national chairman of the German Relief Fund.
The sum will be used to provide aid to organizations engaged in finding a haven for the refugees, to ameliorate the plight of the Jews who have been deprived of livelihood means in Germany and for other purposes in the same connection.
