German Jews can expect nothing from French offers to settle Jews in its colonies, the Hilfsverein der Juden in Doutschland, central German Jewish relief organization, declared in a communique. “It would be false to expect that this offer would alleviate the Jewish emigration problem,” declared the communique.
The Berliner Gemeindeblatt, official organ of the Berlin Jewish Community, expressed the belief that the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee and the Jewish Colonization Association should investigate the offer.
