Representatives of all classes of German Jewry attended exercises commemorating the two hundredth anniversary of the birth of Moses Mendelssohn, held at the Dessau Synagogue.
A Mendelssohn exhibition was later opened with impressive ceremonies at the State Gallery. Mendelssohn’s ideal of tolerance is now reigning in the German State, declared State President Deist, who was the principal speaker.
