An appeal was filed today against an Administrative Court’s decision to continue pension payments to Franz Schlegelberger, former Nazi Deputy Minister of Justice. The appeal was filed by the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of Finance.
The Ministry had revoked the 2,900-mark monthly pension on grounds that Schiegel-berger had miscarried justice by enacting laws against Poles and Jews during World War II and for having ordered the execution of a 76-year-old Jewish prisoner in Kattowice.
