Members of the German nobility who are in the market for land began today a hurried search of genealogical records as a result of a ruling by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture. The Ministry ruled that those noblemen who are included in the “Iron Book” of German nobility must prove “Aryan” origin as far back as 1800 if they are to be permitted to acquire land.
