Dr. Herman Maas, German Pastor who is an advocate of a world citizenship movement, arrived in Israel today by air from Germany. Interned in a Nazi concentration camp and sentenced to be executed, Dr. Maas was saved only by the arrival of American troop two days before the date of his scheduled execution.
Residents of Israel, who remember him for his friendly attitude towards the Jews in Germany, have written numerous letters to the Ministry of Religion requesting the honor of extending hospitality to Pastor Maas during his visit to the Jewish state.
