A West German police official, Theodore Saevecke, who was a Gestapo captain under the Nazis, was charged here today with Killing Jews in Milan, Italy, and with having supervised the forced labor of Jews in North Africa in 1942 and 1943.
The Jewish Documentation Center in Milan supplied documents to the authorities here revealing details of Saevecke’s role in the shooting of 16 Jews near Milan. According to the documents, Saevecke, who served with the Nazi forces in northern Italy during the war, arrested 16 Jews including women and children, had them shot and their bodies thrown in a lake near Milan.
