The part played by David Sarnoff; American Jewish financier and vice-president of the Radio Corporation of America, is emphasized in accounts in the German press on the occasion of the affixing of signatures at Paris today to the reparations settlement.
The newspapers state that the conclusion of the negotiations was greatly expedited by the service of David Sarnoff, who took the place of Owen D. Young when the latter was taken ill. By his energetic intervention and skillful conduct of the negotiations, he brought about the agreement.
The press devotes a great deal of space to a description of the life story of Sarnoff who, as a boy of eight, a student of the Talmud, went to the United States from Vilna, starting his American career as a telegraph messenger.
