The State Prosecutor of Brunswick rejected today a complaint filed by 30 Jewish citizens of Amsterdam, Holland, against Dr. Friedrich Knost, Administrative President of Brunswick, whom they accused of having collaborated in writing a commentary on the Nuremberg anti-Jewish laws while he was an official in the Nazi Ministry of Interior.
The prosecutor’s office rejected the complaint on the technical grounds that the statute of limitations barred action now. The prosecutor rejected a similar complaint earlier this year on the grounds that there was “no causal connection between the commentary and the extermination of the Jews.”
