A sentence of eight years at hard labor was demanded for Friedrich Pradel, who was charged with responsibility for introducing gas vans into procedures for killing Jews, first in Serbia and then in the Soviet Union. A sentence of three and a half years was demanded for Henry Wentritt, Pradel’s aide.
