Four tours of Israel for youth groups in North Rhine Westphalia will be subsidized this year by the provincial government, Social Minister Konrad Grundmann announced today. He said the provincial government regarded such information tours as part of the province’s program of political education.
The 13th annual conference of Service to Israel, sponsored by the German Evangelical Church, opened in Regensberg today. The conference is conducted by Dr. Karl Heinrich Rengsstorf, director of the Judaic Institute of Muenster University. Guest speakers will include Bishop Herman Dietfelbinger of Munich and Professor Max Horkheimer, director of the Social Research Institute of Frankfurt University, who is connected with the American Jewish Committee.
