German Provincial Minister Orders Prosecution of All Cases Involving Anti-Semitism

Dr. Erwin Stein, Minister of Justice of the provincial government of Hesse, in the American zone, today made public an order to all local prosecutors to bring to justice the perpetrators of all anti-Semitic "incidents."

Dr. Stein’s instructions stated that all investigations should be aimed at bringing to light the sources of each attack and where children are involved the responsibility of the parents. At the same time, the Minister emphasized the importance of obtaining the cooperation of the public in preventing such crimes. "Anti-Semitic crimes are a shame to every German," be declared.

Meanwhile, a report received here from Hamburg stated that Protestant leaders in that city are actively organizing a Christian-Jewish Society in the British zone.
