A local German court has sentenced Franz Kroner to eleven months in prison on three different charges connected with insulting a Jew.
Kroner repeatedly told Richard Stern that “not nearly enough Jews had been gassed” by the Nazis and that “of all those who survived, Stern ought to be gassed immediately.” The intervention of the Association of Jewish Communities of Hesse, a co-complainant in the case, is credited with having obtained the stiff sentence passed on Kroner.
