Dr. Nahum Goldmann, chairman of the Jewish Agency and of the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, arrived here today from Bonn where he conferred with Chancellor Konrad Adenauer and other high German officials on the Israel-German reparations pact. During the conversations, Dr. Goldmann was promised by the Chancellor that he would press for early ratification of the agreement.
From Germany it was reported today that the German National Bank has guaranteed to pay British oil companies for future shipments of petroleum products to Israeli as provided for in the German-Israel reparations pact. The guarantee was made daring negotiations to extend the arrangement which was first worked out last September.
