A concert tour of the United States in the fall has been organized by the Munster University Students’ Choir to raise funds for reconstruction of the Munster synagogue demolished by the Nazis in 1938, it was disclosed here today.
Frau Herma Kramm-Reuter, conductor of the choir, said the first of 30 performances would be held October 1 in Town Hall, New York. She said that “through the medium of music more hearts will be opened than by speeches.”
Dr. Theodor Heuss, President of the West German Republic, sent a note of congratulations to the students for the project.
