Opposition to the propaganda carried on by certain factions in the German student body in favor of enacting a numerus clausus law limiting the number of Jewish students in German universities, was expressed at the 12th annual convention of the general German students’ body, meeting at Hanover.
The organization includes such student bodies as are affiliated with the Voelkische (Nationalist) party and the Austrian student organizations. The official rapporteur, Kersten, recommended to the convention to reject the proposal made by the Werzburg delegation favoring a numerus clausus.
