While 46 displaced Jewish youths have been waiting for visas to enter the United States to attend college, it was learned here that a group of German students are preparing to leave for America on an exchange scholarship basis.
The Jewish students, who are recipients of Hillel Scholarships, are referred to “Washington” whenever they apply to local consulates for action on their visa applications. Meanwhile, it has been learned that some 600 Jews are attending various German colleges and universities.
