A court decision granting a divorce to an “Aryan” on the ground he married a “full-blooded Jewess” under the impression she was only of part-Jewish ancestry was published today in Deutsche Justiz, organ of the Ministry of Justice.
The court held, however, that the husband was liable for alimony.
“The divorce action of the petitioner must be granted,” the ruling stated, “because on contracting marriage the wife held the mistaken opinion her father alone was a Jew whereas her husband would not have married her if he had known her mother was also a Jewess.”
