All German employees at International Refugee Organization installation in the United States zone of Germany have received notice of termination of employment, Sutherland Denlinger, chief of the I.R.O. information office here, announced at a press conference. All Germans will be replaced by displaced persons.
The new personnel policy follows the refusal of the local German governments and business houses to employ DP’s after the recent currency reforms. Denlinger also announced that all refugees and DP’s now residing outside I.R.O. camps who cannot meet their living costs as a result of the new currency situation and the attitude of the Germans will be admitted to DP camps free of charge if they registered as displaced persons before April 21, 197, the date on which American military authorities officially ended the acceptance of refugees into DP camps.
