Following discussions in London between Agudas Israel leaders and the German diplomatic mission here, the German Minister of the Interior has approached Catholic and Protestant organizations in West Germany for information on Jewish children still living with Christian foster parents, M.R. Springer, Agudah leader, reported here to a meeting of the Agudist world executive.
H.A. Goodman, another Agudah leader, told the meeting that the Mapai Party in Israel had invited the Agudas Israel to rejoin the coalition government. He added that Orthodox Jews from all over the world will insist that a condition of acceptance of the Mapai invitation be the abolition of the conscription of Israeli women for military duties and the maintenance of an independent religious education system.
