The United Arab Republic has been warned by West Germany that relations between the two countries may be seriously affected by the action of Egyptian police in allowing a fugitive Nazi concentration camp doctor to disappear in Cairo, it was reported here today.
The protest concerned Dr. Hans Eisele, who is wanted by the Bonn Government on war crime charges. Dr. Eiseie was accused by a witness at a recent war crimes trial In Bayreuth with the sadistic killing by injections of numerous Buchenwald camp Inmates, Dr. Eisele fled to Cairo while local German police were moving to arrest him.
German news correspondents in Cairo have reported that Dr. Eisele is In a Cairo prison, according to reports here. A member of the German colony Informed reporters he was receiving mail for the fugitive and that an Egyptian police officer called for the mall regularly.
