Germany’s foreign minister said his country would stand with Israel in dealing with Iran. “In Israel, they know from the remarks I’ve made during the last few days that I, indeed, we, stand shoulder to shoulder with Israel,” Frank-Walter Steinmeier said in an interview distributed Wednesday by the German embassy in Washington on the eve of a Middle East tour.
