Germany’s largest bank admitted that it dealt in Nazi gold during World War II. In a report released last Friday, the Deutsche Bank said it purchased more than 4.4 tons of gold from Nazi Germany’s central bank at a wartime value of some $5 million. But the report did not disclose whether the bank’s top officials knew of the gold’s origin.
