Defying the Nazis, students of the University of Delft, Holland, declared a strike yesterday in protest against the elimination of a Jewish professor from the University, it was reported here today.
As result of this strike the Nazi authorities ordered the closing of the university. An investigation has been started to find the instigators of the protest, it was reported.
Reliable information from Holland said the Nazi authorities in Amsterdam had ordered all Jewish relief organizations there to deliver their keys to the Gestapo headquarters every evening and to have representatives of these organizations report to the Gestapo every morning for the keys.
