Gestapo Seals Jewish Buildings in Czech City, Arrests B’nai B’rith Members

Advices from Prague said today that the Gestapo had sealed the Jewish community building and synagogue in the city of Budweis, closed down all other Jewish organizations and arrested members of the B’nai B’rith, Jewish fraternal society.

At Koenigraetz, the Aryan Cultural Union which was recently founded to propagate racial anti-Semitism among the Czechs, unsuccessfully attempted to hold a public meeting. The Czech public protested against the proposed meeting, while the Sokol and other organizations and individuals refused to put their halls at the disposal of the anti-Semites.
