For beating the Jewish cattle-dealer Simon Isselbacher and causing his death, Peter Roessel was sentenced to fifteen months’ imprisonment, it was revealed today.
Roessel, who pleaded drunkenness, first attempted to shoot Isselbacher with a rifle, but finding it unloaded, beat him over the head.
The prosecutor asked for a two-year sentence, but the judge reduced the term to fifteen months.
