(Jewish Daily Bulletin)
Littauer Day was celebrated by the entire city yesterday in honor of Lucius N. Littauer.
There was a general suspension of business in the town and the day was given over to a parade and a dinner in honor of Mr. Littauer.
By a decision of the City Council, High Street will be renamed Littauer Place.
In addition to having spent more than $1,000,000, for hospitalization in Gloversille, Mr. Littauer established a chair in Jewish Literature at Harvard University. He has also made large contributions toward the prevention and cure of cancer.
