Mrs. Golda Meir, Israel’s Foreign Minister, who recently visited the United States, today, reported to the Jewish Agency executive here on the United Jewish Appeal campaign to aid the absorption here of immigrants from Eastern Europe.
At a meeting yesterday, the Elections and Shekel committee of the World Zionist Organization adopted some rules in connection with the election of delegates to the next World Zionist Congress. To assure democracy in the choice of delegates, the committee decided that a nominee must have between 100 and 1,000 signers on his nominating petition, depending on the size of the constituency. The rules will be laid before the next meeting of the Zionist Actions Committee, which will convene here May 31.
