Mrs. Golda Meir, Israel’s Foreign Minister, underwent surgery today at the Beilinson Hospital. A bulletin issued this afternoon by the hospital described her condition as satisfactory. The hospital authorities refused to discuss the reason for the operation, but it was reported to be for removal of gallstones.
